Here’s How To Disable Norton Antivirus On Any Web Browser

Safe Search by Norton Antivirus lets you filter out any irrelevant or unsafe search results in your web browser. The feature is quite important for any user to surf web services safely without having to worry about any malicious threats. The safe search also demonstrates the search results based on their automated analysis and web users' feedbacks.

But there are times when users often look forward to disable this feature as to view any filtered results for their searches. However, this can be unsafe and make the user’s device vulnerable to threats. But if the user wants to disable this feature anyway then here’s what can be done.

Steps To Disable Safe Search On Web Browser: Norton Antivirus
In Google Chrome
  • Switch to the Chrome settings and then to More tools section
  • Next, select the Extensions and then  disable the Norton Safe Web extension
  • Re-launch the Google Chrome browser
In Mozilla Firefox.
  • In the Firefox settings, select the Add-ons option and switch to the Extensions tab
  • Here, disable the Norton Safe Web and re-launch the Firefox browser
In Safari
  • Open-up the Safari browser and switch to its settings
  • Next, select the Preferences option and select the Extensions tab
  •  Here most probably the Norton Safe Web would be turned off
  • If not then simply disable it and restart Safari
Moreover, in Microsoft Edge, the user can download the Norton safe search from the store for safety reasons. However, the user can disable it in the Extensions tab and continue to use the search features.  Moreover, if the user has still any doubts then it is advisable to get connected with technical support at Norton.
